Scaled scores
When children complete SATs tests, they receive a scaled score for their performance. These scaled scores range from 80 to 120. 100 is the scale score children need to attain to be at the expected standard. The higher the scaled score past 100, the higher the level of attainment. Scaled scores of over 110 are considered ‘high scores’ in Reading, Maths and GPS. Writing is assessed using Writing TA framework and is judged to be ‘greater depth’ standard when criteria is evidenced through independent writing. Pupils typically attain highly at Finham Primary School (there are no scaled scores available for Writing).
